Headman Pass

1) Players line up as shown.

-Players 1 and 2 start by making a pass to the red (1) and then skate up the ice and have their pass returned. Repeat with the red 2 and 3.
After they shoot, they are to replace the "reds" starting at 3 and making their way up to 1 and then back in line.
-"Red" players make their way up til they get in line.  3 to 2, 2 to 1, 1 to line.  Once they make the pass, they move up.

It must be stressed to the players to move away from the puck. Also the passers should hit the stick of the receiver not float a pass in their direction. Basically nice crisp passing and use all of the ice.

Good warm-up drill for a team that is starting to work on the breakout. Gets the players going through the motion of moving the puck up the ice.
