Breakout Warm Up
1)
WHEEL
Setup:
Players line up on hashmarks facing goal line with pucks in both lines.
Action:
One side will start by skating the puck behind the net, WHEEL, and making a strong flat pass to the first player in the opposite line while he skates towards the pass to repeat the WHEEL going in the other direction.
2)
REVERSE
Setup:
Players lineup on hash marks against boards with pucks.
Action:
One side will start with player skating puck full speed behind the net to start a WHEEL, but will make a tight turn reverse TOWARDS BOARDS and come back to pass to next guy in his own line.
As this side is just starting the REVERSE, other line starts so that they are alternating and not running into each other.
*Make sure they are reaching the far half of the net when they execute REVERSE.
*Shoulder check and turn head through REVERSE to read play and anticipate.
3)

Setup:
2 'D' lines will be in the middle near top of circles and 2 lines of 'F' will be along boards. NOTE- players should be switching lines from D to F after each turn.

Action:
Second guy in 'D' line will dump puck behind goal line while each of the first 'D' back in to pick up the puck and pass to strong side supporting 'F'.
That 'F' will then pass it back to the 'D' who in turn makes a D2D pass behind the net. Can be banked off boards.

-Other 'D' line will dump puck in and start.
Players should not be standing still for pass. Skating to and away from "action/pass" to always be in motion while transitioning, passing, and receiving pass.
